Renting from Coker

How equipment rental works & rates.

Reserve it, pick it up or let us deliver, run the job, and return it — you only pay for the time you used. Day, week, and month rates from one yard in Gainesville since 1973.

Renting here is straightforward.

No account application, no runaround. Tell us what the job needs and when you need it, and we'll get the right machine ready — at the yard for pickup, or delivered to your site across Hall County and Northeast Georgia.

Coker has rented equipment to single-man crews and billion-dollar factories alike since 1973. The process below is the same whether it's a one-day plate compactor or a month on a boom lift.

01The process

Four steps, start to finish.

Reserve

Reserve the machine

Call the yard or send a quote request with the equipment and your dates. Popular machines move fast, so reserving ahead locks in what you need.

Pick up or delivery

Pick it up — or we deliver

Grab smaller equipment at the yard on Industrial Blvd, or let us deliver the bigger machines to your jobsite anywhere in Northeast Georgia.

Run the job

Run the job

Day, week, or month — you choose the window that fits the work. Need it longer once you're rolling? One call extends it.

Return

Return it

Bring it back or we'll pick it up when you're done. You only pay for the time you used — no padding, no surprises.

02What you'll need

What to bring to rent.

Renting is simple, and exact requirements depend on the machine. Here's the general picture — call the yard for the current requirements on a specific piece of equipment.

Valid IDA current government-issued photo ID for the renter
Payment & depositA payment method on file; a deposit may apply by machine
Proof of insuranceTypically required on larger machines — ask us what applies
Job detailsThe work, the dates, and where it's going so we match the right machine

Not sure what your machine calls for? Call us first. We'll walk you through exactly what's needed before you come in, so there's nothing to figure out at the counter. Requirements vary by equipment, and we'd rather get you set up right than send you back home for a missing piece of paper.

03How rates work

Day, week, or month.

Coker rents on three windows so the rate fits the job — short jobs and long projects are equally welcome.

Daily rateBest for one- and two-day jobs and quick fixes
Weekly rateA better effective daily rate — often pencils out over several single days
Monthly rateThe best value for ongoing work and longer projects

Rates depend on the machine's size and class, so the honest answer on price is: tell us the equipment and your dates and we'll give you the exact number. Because a week frequently beats paying day-by-day, it's worth asking us to run both ways before you decide.

Reserve ahead. Availability moves fast on skid steers, excavators, and lifts. The earlier you call, the surer we are to have your machine ready on your dates — fueled, checked, and waiting when you roll in.

04Questions

Rental & rate questions

How are equipment rental rates calculated?

Rates are based on the machine and how long you keep it — Coker rents by the day, the week, and the month, so you only pay for the time the equipment is on your jobsite. Longer rentals carry a better effective daily rate, which is why a week often pencils out over several single days. Rates vary by machine size and class, so the surest way to get an exact number is to call 770-532-7066 or send a quote request with the equipment and your dates.

Do you deliver rental equipment, or do I pick it up?

Either works. You're welcome to pick up smaller equipment at the yard on Industrial Blvd, and for larger machines we can arrange delivery and pickup across Hall County and Northeast Georgia. Delivery depends on the machine and your location, so let us know where the job is when you reserve and we'll sort out the best way to get it there.

What if I need the equipment longer than planned?

Just call us before your return date and we'll extend the rental — most jobs run long at some point, and we'd rather you keep working than scramble. Extending early also helps us hold the machine for you instead of promising it to the next customer. Give the yard a ring at 770-532-7066 and we'll roll it into a week or month rate if that saves you money.

What do I need to rent equipment from Coker?

Generally a valid ID, a payment method on file, and — for larger machines — proof of insurance. Exact requirements depend on the equipment, so we keep it simple: call 770-532-7066 and we'll tell you what's needed for the specific machine before you come in, so there are no surprises at the counter.
